Value Before Tools
How I Work
The goal is not more technology. The goal is more value. I do not begin with a tool. I begin with the problem, the outcome, and the person the system is for, and I work through these six steps before deciding what to build.
Define the outcome
Start with what needs to improve, not with the technology.
Understand the person using it
Design around how people actually work, what they know, and what they need at the moment they encounter the system.
Choose the simplest tool that fits
Use what already exists when it can do the job. Add technology only when it earns its place.
Provide useful context
A tool cannot make a good decision without the information, constraints, and standards that shape the work.
Keep human judgment where it belongs
Faster output is not the same as better judgment. Decide what the system can handle and what still requires experience.
Build for ownership
The person using the system should understand it, trust it, and know what to do next.
