Context

A real-estate investor I knew was rewriting the same letter several times each week. I built the first version at no charge to test whether the workflow was worth automating.

What Was Built

A system that accepts the deal information in plain language and produces a properly formatted letter of intent.

Premarital Counseling Experience

Context

My wife had training in premarital counseling and was guiding one couple through it.

Problem

Her material had no simple way to guide a couple through it in the order she intended.

How she guides the couple needed to stay hers. The format did not.

What Was Built

I helped turn her material into a simple website built around the way she wanted to guide the couple.

Result

A working digital experience built around how she wanted to guide that couple.

FAMILY EXPERIMENT

Responsibility Through Play

Context

I wanted my son's chores to feel like ownership, not a chore list. Before spending $500 on a parenting device, I wanted to know if turning responsibility into a game would actually work for him.

Problem

A $500 calendar system was a real commitment. I had no way to know if my son would use it before buying it.

Judgment Call

How I want to raise him stays mine. Whether a $500 purchase was the right way to test that idea did not.

What Was Built

A simple task tracker built in a weekend, with emoji icons, daily resets, and animations when he completes something.

Result

My son used it on his own and took ownership of it. I validated the idea before spending anything.

What Was Built

A personal Bible study companion that surfaces historical context, original-audience perspective, word studies, and cross-references for any verse.

Lesson

It is not a replacement for study. It is a research assistant that handles retrieval so the real work, reflection, gets the time.
